Originally formed in the early 60's the Merseybeats had their first big hit in 1963 with "It's Love That Really Counts". They continued with several hits right through the 60's including "Sorrow" recently covered by David Bowie. Their record success did not stop there as they had hits in Europe including a Top ten hit in Germany in the late 70's with "American Dream" and their maxi single "This Is Merseybeat" in the mid 80's.

1993 saw the bands 30th anniversary and to celebrate that, Billy Kinsley rejoined the band to join the other original member Tony Crane in a 5 man line up.

A new album and single, together with a book are all selling well. The band have toured extensively, in the last few years they have appeared in Australia, Spain, Germany, Holland and the Middle East as well as proving ever popular on the club and concert circuit in the UK.

They have also appeared on several TV and radio shows including "Unforgettable", "The Time Of Your Life" and "Sounds of the 60's."

The current line-up is:

Tony Crane – Vocal, Guitar
Billy Kinsley – Vocal, Guitar
Bob Peckham - Bass Guitar, Vocal
Dave Goldberg – Keyboards, Vocal
Alan Cosgrove – Drums, Vocal
