Their first record I Live For The Sun shot into the top twenty in August '68 and stayed there for nine weeks.

They were soon established as hit parade regulars when their next two singles Hitchin' A Ride and Early In The Morning went gold with sales over 4 Million.

Other hits soon followed including favourites like Carolina's Coming Home, Rock & Roll Is Back, Take It Shake It and Running Out Of World, and to date the boys have recorded and released over twenty singles and eight LP's.

Their success in America was heightened when Hitchin' A Ride was adopted as a cult song by many of the West Coast DJ's and started the "Hitch-Like" dance craze. One of the highlights of their career was when the Beach Boys invited them to appear on their 1968/69 World Tour.

The band's current stage show reflects much of their 20 year history and included all their hit records, a 60's Beach Boys/Four Seasons set and even a tribute to Glen Miller, which Bernie plays of tenor Sax.

The current Vanity Fare are:

Bernie - Sax/Bass/Vocals
Eddie - Guitar/Vocals
Mark - Drums/Vocals
Phil - Guitar/Keyboards/Vocals
